Transport history in Odessa began earlier than in Russia: the first automobile in Russia, the Benz, that was brought from France, emerged in our city in 1891. It belonged to the "Odessa leaflet" newspaper publisher, V.V.Navrotskyy. The first representative of public transport in Odessa was a tramway: the first electrically operated tramway appeared in the city center in 1910. Today Odessa has a well-developed transport network including trams, trolleybuses, buses, taxis and minibus taxis.
